How do you shift from the artificial divides of “subject knowledge” and the disconnected stream of “mass instruction” to something fundamentally more human? Project-based, inquiry-focused learning leverages student passions and makes students into leaders. We’ll look at the history of this approach, at the new affordances created by contemporary technology, and at real world examples of merging student passions with school policies.
