Periwinkle, the official mascot for Powerful Learning Practice (PLP) has had a busy year since his departure in January. He has seen first hand how PLPeeps (educators and administrators who participate in our year long professional development plan) are shifting and transforming their 21st century practices. He has attended numerous staff meetings and classes (both face-to-face and virtually) where he’s witnessed educators, administrators, and students collaborating and co-constructing with one another.
Although he has been quite busy, he’s made sure his PLP hosts have taken him on tours of their cities and given him some downtime with their families. Periwinkle especially loves getting to know everyone up close and personal. Well, almost everyone. While visiting Jane Mitchinson in Canada some family members took a little extra interest in him.
Although his injuries first appeared life-threatening, Periwinkle had a successful surgery and was ready for his next assignment 🙂
Periwinkle is definitely a trooper and just said to us “this will make a great addition to the next travel blog” To see more pictures from Periwinkle’s latest adventures check out our Facebook page.
If you would like to host Periwinkle for a week, why don’t you think about joining a Powerful Learning Practice Community? That way Periwinkle can come visit you, your family, students and colleagues!
