But do you also know the profoundly transformative opportunities for learning these technologies offer? Do you understand fully how schools and classrooms are being challenged by these new technologies and what the implications are for your teachers and students?
If not, join Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach and Will Richardson this spring and summer for PLP’s “Visioning Boot Camp for Educational Leaders,” an intensive, small-group, three-day workshop for school leaders who want to understand how 21st Century technologies are challenging curriculum and pedagogy and providing economical new ways for learning.
Here’s an overview of each day:
Day 1: “Setting the Stage: ‘Shift Happens’” - Through a series of interactive presentations and wide ranging conversations, we’ll learn about the “Seismic Shifts” the Web is generating around the world, and look at the implications for teaching and learning. We’ll be joined by expert voices from around the globe as we lay the groundwork for thinking about change.
Day 2: “The 21st Century School Leader” – What does educational leadership look like in a time of great change? We’ll develop a vision to work toward in your own practice, in your own schools. The day will feature work with a seasoned educational leader well versed in the day to day implementation of leadership in a changed learning landscape.
Day 3: “Planning for Change” – We’ll begin to develop concrete steps for moving individual schools and districts through three and five year plans for change. Throughout the day, we’ll interact with a panel of school leaders who are managing change in their own districts.
Cost: $1,450. Includes all conference sessions, breakfast and lunch each day.
