What they’re saying
The Blended Learning course that I am taking through PLP Network is one that I would highly recommend to others. The content is causing me to pause and really think about learners, learning, and crafting experiences that are meaningful.
The course will feature an adapted flipped classroom structure with readings, activities and discussions in a private online course space, followed by interactive webinars in which you will be co-teachers and active learners digging deeper into the art of blended learning. There will be many opportunities for choice and for you to follow personal paths toward a deeper understanding of blended learning.
This is not your average course. You will be immersed in a unique environment while engaged in a self-directed experience that balances both process and content as a means for deeper understanding of how to design/facilitate blended learning.
In the Blended Learning eCourse, you will explore:
- A student centered, competency based, personalized approach to learning
- Strategies and activities for use in blended learning environments
- Ways to leverage Web 2.0 tools for deeper learning
We’ll be immersed in active learning as co-learners exploring those areas. We’ll be curating and co-creating activities and strategies which enable learners to do their own learning. And all the while we’ll be leveraging the affordances of Web 2.0 tools to deepen and enhance learning. Bring your aspirations, bring your passions, bring your expertise, and let’s dig deep into blended learning together.
You, as a learner on course completion, will be able to:
- Demonstrate and model mindsets, qualities, and adaptive and technical skills that make an educator effective in a blended learning environment
- Utilize the TPACK and backward design frameworks to design student centered blended learning
- Design/facilitate student centered blended learning experiences
- Leverage web 2.0 tools for communication, collaboration and collective action
- Select strategies and activities that enable student centered blended learning
