We’re proud to announce that fellow PLPeep Dean Shareski, Community Leader of the El Paso Cohort and three-year PLP team member is a keynote presenter at the K12Online Conference, kicking off this week!

The K-12 Online Conference (co-created in 2006 by PLP CEO Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach) invites participation from educators around the world interested in innovative ways Web 2.0 tools and technologies can be used to improve learning. This FREE conference is run by volunteers and open to everyone. The 2010 conference begins on October 11 with Dean’s pre-conference keynote, and will be followed during Oct 18-29 with 40 more presentations and a closing keynote.

Sharing: The Moral Imperative

Check out Dean’s preconference keynote video, Sharing: The Moral Imperative. This keynote looks at the new obligation of sharing for educators. With stories from the a variety of sources, the fact that we now have the ability to teach and share beyond our classrooms is moving from “nice to do” to “necessary to do”. See if you agree, and let us know in the comments.
