Change is necessary, complex & messy. But change doesn't have to be scary.

Change can be scary. But you don’t have to do it alone.

The team at Powerful Learning Practice is experienced in working alongside educators to help them navigate the sea of change we are facing in the 21st century and preparing them for the future.

I’m being challenged to grow in ways outside my comfort zone. No one else is pushing me to grow as a teacher and a leader like you are.

– Renee Hawkins, Educator and Director of Instructional Technology, Garrison Forest School, Maryland

Get your school team on board – join one of our Communities

The Connected Learner Experience is a year-long, job embedded professional development journey that immerses educators in Web 2.0 tools as they connect and collaborate to become better teachers and leaders. We help educators move from their respective points of comfort with these virtual environments to becoming connected learners capable of leveraging these technologies for school-wide improvement.  The end of the experience is marked with an action research project – a project that begins shifting change for many of the participating schools. These educators often become champions for learning with technology in their schools, scaling their efforts to colleagues and administrators.

There is enormous support within the community. “PLPeeps” are there for one another through Twitter and other social media, providing information and encouragement for teachers attempting to shift their classrooms, long after they have completed the program.

– Patti Grayson, Hampton Roads Academy, Virginia
