We do, too!

That’s why you won’t want to miss our last TPACK Friday, this Friday at 5pm EST. This week we are highlighting Dolores Gende and Derrick Willard:

Derrick Willard is a currently the Environmental Science teacher and the Science Department Chair at Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC.  He has been experimenting with social media applications as instructional tools for the last two years.  He also enjoys teaching people, especially kids, how to fish.  Tearing Down Walls: using social media to expand the classroom community.

Dolores Gende has been teaching science and math for over 28 years in different countries such as Mexico, Belgium, and the Netherlands Antilles. She is the Director of Instructional Technology at the Parish Episcopal School in Dallas where she also teaches Honors Physics. Her award-winning AP Physics website (http://bit.ly/hzP7qj) serves as an important reference tool for teachers all over the world. Dolores is a member of the AP Physics Curriculum Development and Assessment Committee for the new College Board AP courses. She has given presentations at national and international conferences and leads week-long summer institutes for new and experienced physics teachers.

PLPeeps and others will come together in an interactive discussion in the Elluminate room. Here’s the link (come early to test your mic). See you there!
